For children ages 6-10.

Session I – July 15-19
Session II – July 22-26
Session III – July 28-August 2

SYDC Session Hours: Daily from 9am-5pm.

Tuition includes instruction, supervision, art supplies, daily snacks and pizza on Fridays. Campers need to bring their own lunch Monday – Thursday

$175 per week

$75 per week for student on PCSB reduced lunch program

Free for those students on PCSB free lunch program

Checks payable to Florida Dance Theatre.

Intro-Intensive: A Two Week Summer Dance Training Experience for Young Dancers of Ages 7 and Up

Prerequisite: FDT Elementary Ballet II, III, or IV
Date: June 24 – July 5, 2013 (closed July 4^th)
Times: Monday – Friday, 2p.m. – 6p.m.
Dancers need to bring a snack

Fees
$110 1st week only
$180 Full 2 week program
Registration form and payment due by May 1^st

Schedule:
2:00 – 3:15 Ballet
3:15 – 3:30 Break
3:30 – 4:30 Modern
4:30 – 5:00 Snack break
5:00 – 6:00 Rep (choreography)

On Friday July 5^th there will be a short performance at the studio to showcase technique, movement, and choreography learned.
Dress code: Black leotard, pink convertible tights (modern is barefoot), hair in bun, ballet shoes.

Summer Intensive 2013

Summer Intensive 2013 is a program designed for intermediate to advanced dance students of ages 10-25 who are committed to enhancing their dance technique. Students attend daily classes and rehearsals, Monday through Saturday for one-to-three weeks between June 10-29, 2013. Students that attend the entire three week program participate in our Summer Intensive Showcase on June 29,2013.

This is an amazing opportunity to study with Executive Artistic and Founding Director Carol Erkes, and Ferdinand De Jesus, Associate Director and Resident Choreographer along with guest faculty from around the country. Weekly Guest faculty includes:

Jo Matos – Director Joffrey Ballet School Young Dancer’s Program, former dance director University of Hartford Hartt School. Dillard Center for the Arts, School of the Hartford Ballet.

John Parks – Faculty USF in Tampa, former dancer Alvin Ailey and Anna Sokolow.

Sharon Wong – Former Ailey School faculty Co-Chair of the Jazz Department and Ailey/Fordham BFA faculty advisor. Visiting Dance professor at Hope College in Michigan.

Doricha Sales – Ballet Mistress for IU Ballet Theater, Director of Jacobs School of Music’s Pre-College Ballet Program, Supervisor of Elective Ballet Program , Administrative Director for Ballet Department at Indiana University.

Charmaine Warren – Dancer, historian ,and journalist, faculty member at Alvin Ailey/Fordham B.F.A program and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Allison Jay Baber –Former dancer Hartford Ballet, Ballet Met, Smuin Ballet and touring show of “Moving Out.”

An First Friday gathering at Lakeland TV, located on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Cedar Street from 6:30-7:30pm, to meet the company dancers and get a sneak peek of FDT’s “Innovations Dance” which is on April 20th at the Polk Theatre. The actual performances on April 20th are at 2pm and 7:30pm.
