Sarah Walston was born in Mobile, Alabama and trained with Julio Montano and Gissell Durand in the Tampa area. Under their direction Sarah performed classical and contemporary roles including, the Dying Swan, Kitri and the Sugarplum Fairy. She then attended the University of South Florida and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2015. Sarah received a BFA in Dance Performance, Ballet Concentration under the guidance of Andrew Carroll and Paula Nunez. She has participated in many professional training programs across the country including, the Ailey School, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, ArchCore40 and BalletX, as well as dancing abroad in Paris in the summer of 2014. She has been fortunate to work with many notable choreographers, performing in works by Alonzo King, Maurice Causey, Robert Moses, Eleo Pomare and Jennifer Archibald. Sarah is excited for her 4th season with Florida Dance Theatre.
