The dress code is established for a purpose and is mandatory. The dress code creates uniformity and enables the teacher to see the full lines of each dancer’s body.
Ladies:
Pre and Beginning Ballet
Black or Pink Leotard, skirts are allowed (no tutus)
Pink tights
Pink ballet slippers
Hair pulled back from the face into a bun or similar style (no ponytails)
All other Levels Ballet
Black leotard
Pink tights (transition/convertible tights must be worn over feet)
Pink ballet slippers
Pointe shoes must be worn with tights over feet

- We ask that all students arrive and leave our building in cover-up clothing
- Ballet, Jazz or Tap shoes are not to be worn outside
- No leg warmers, plastic pants, sweat pants, ballet cover-ups or jewelry (stud earrings are allowed) are allowed during class
- Long hair must be worn in a bun or similar style for all classes
- Loose ponytails or loose braids are not permitted
- All hair should be secured with hairpins or bobby pins and a hair net
- Hair accessories should be secure so they do not fall off during class
- Girls with very short hair should secure their hair with a band, held in place with bobby pins, and use hairspray or gel to prevent hair from becoming loose
- All boys must have neat hair, combed out of their face and, if necessary, held in place with spray/gel
- Proper fitting ballet shoes with an elastic strap sewn across the top of each foot
- The laces on ballet shoes should be tied, trimmed and tucked in the top of the shoe (Please put your names in all dance shoes)
- Students arriving unprepared for class will be asked to sit and observe that class
- Students arriving for class 15 minutes late without prior notification will be asked to observe class
