FDT Company artist

Michael Holland was born in Orlando, Florida. He started​ dancing at the age of 16 during his 11th grade year. Mostly his dancing centered around Hip-Hop Styles such as “Animation, Popping, Krump, House and, Memphis Jookin” which was all self-taught. He competitively started dancing his 12th grade year which allowed him to discover the art of Contemporary and Jazz through the teachings of Emily Jane. He won many awards including 2nd place for Mr. Starbound at Starbound National Dance Competition. He was then introduced to Florida Dance Theatre after two years of competing where he was asked to be a part of the summer intensives and Dracula in September. He regularly acts and sings at the Lakeland Community Theatre where he has been a part of 5 musicals, 2 of which he was asked to be in. He has performed with FDT in Dracula, Nutcracker, and Midsummer Night’s Dream.
